TEACHING EXPERTISE
Catherine began her career as a primary teacher with the Department for Education in South Australia before focusing on teaching and learning in the early years of school with Catholic Education South Australia. Opportunity to teach within a Reggio Emilia inspired context (2014-2019) alongside her academic position at UniSA was a catalyst for examining the potential of outdoor learning spaces and holistic, integrated and strength-based approaches to teaching and learning mathematically.
Catherine developed and coordinated a range of courses in early childhood mathematics, science and STEM education (B-8) at UniSA, taught into both the early childhood undergraduate and postgraduate initial teaching programs (across 2016-2021) and supported the supervision of post graduate research projects (in 2017).
