BIO

Dr. Adyya Gupta is a Senior Research Fellow at Global Centre for Preventive Health and Nutrition (GLOBE) within Institute for Health Transformation at Deakin University. She currently holds a Victorian Health Promotion Foundation (VicHealth) Fellowship (2023-26) exploring the impact of online food delivery services on youth's food choices. Adyya has previously held a Dean's Postdoctoral Fellowship (2021-23) at Deakin University. Her research focusses on building the evidence to create supportive and healthy digital food retail environments. 

 

Recent career highlights include receiving a 2025 Early Career Award by IHT, Deakin University, 2025 PHAA Food and Nutrition Special Interest Group (FANSIG) and 2024 Early Career Award by PHAA (Victoria State Branch). She is the Founding Chair of the Digital food retail environment Community of Practice within Nourish Network at Deakin University. Adyya is an editor for Australian and New Zealand Journal of Public Health. She is the Executive committee member of Food and Nutrition Special Interest Group (FANSIG) at PHAA. 

 

Adyya is an expert in public health nutrition, digital food environment and mixed methods. With a dental public health background, Adyya’s research focusses on generating evidence to address common risk factors for general and oral health to reduce chronic disease health burden.
