TEACHING EXPERTISE
I teach at Deakin University delivering Aboriginal subject material around strength-based practice approaches, yarning, and traditional foods for the Master of Dietetic course (HSN 757 and HSN 758).
The past and current Aboriginal health research projects I am involved at with Deakin involve workshop deliveries (i.e. FoodPATH facilitation and systems science workshops with peak and regional ACCHOs) and speaking to research projects such as the Commercial Health Determinants (CDoH) at academic conferences.
Outside of work with Deakin, I regularly teach a semester in Lifestyle Medicine at the ACC in Adelaide and guest lecture for Murdoch University in Perth (Lifestyle Medicine and Public Health) as well as deliver local in-person and online workshops on falls prevention with research conducted at Monash University on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander bone and muscle health.
