BIO

Ashleigh Hough is a Registered Educational and Developmental Psychologist and Play Therapist.  With over 25 years of experience working in peadiatic medical practices, not for profit services,  schools and private practice, Ashleigh is dedicated to supporting children, young people, and the adults around them.  Ashleigh works collaboratively with teachers, and families to promote emotional wellbeing, learning, and inclusion.

Ashleigh brings a deep understanding of child development, attachment, trauma, and neurodiversity, and is known for a practical, compassionate approach grounded in evidence-based practice. With clients Ashleigh works to create safe, therapeutic spaces where children can explore feelings, build resilience, and develop coping strategies through play and expressive therapies.  This approach is mirrored in her supervision style, with an empahsis on creating a space that allows for deep reflective practice to support ongoing professional development of student practicitoners and early career therapists. 

 

Throughout their career, Ashleigh has supported clients with a wide range of needs, including anxiety, social communication challenges, and emotional regulation. They are passionate about early intervention and empowering schools and families with tools that create lasting, positive change.  Ashleigh reguarly draws on this industry experience to support students on clinical placement
