Liz Eades is a researcher and academic in the Department of Management at Deakin Business School. She's passionate about understanding how technology, such as artificial intelligence, is shaping the development of critical thinking among Generation Z learners in business education—the focus of her current PhD research. She believes strongly that good teaching and rigorous research go hand in hand.

Liz has contributed to the leading Marketing textbook (Marketing, 4th Edition, published by Wiley), authoring three chapters. Her work sits at the intersection of emerging technologies, business strategy, and sustainable marketing practices. She's equally at home applying these insights to real-world corporate challenges through her research work, translating academic thinking into practical solutions that actually matter.

Her dedication to teaching excellence has been recognised through several awards, including Deakin's Vice-Chancellor's Teaching Excellence Award and the KPMG Award for Inspirational Teaching of first-year students. She teaches at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and brings her research interests directly into the classroom.

Professionally, Liz is a Fellow of the Australian Marketing Institute (holding the Certified Practising Marketer) and a Fellow of the Institute of Managers and Leaders, ANZ. These roles reflect her commitment to staying engaged with the marketing and management professions beyond the university.

She is also active as a consultant in marketing and management, which keeps her grounded in what's actually happening in business.

Liz holds an MBA, a Master's in Marketing, and postgraduate qualifications in adult education.
