My teaching interests focus on public health research, health determinants, and systems thinking. I guide students in developing research skills across qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods, including sampling, questionnaire design, and paticipatory action research methods. I emphasise the importance of understanding social, cultural, environmental, and biological determinants of health, with attention to Indigenous perspectives and priority populations in local and global contexts. I also introduce systems thinking and system dynamics to help students address complex health and social issues such as mental health, climate change, and access to healthcare, fostering holistic problem‑solving, equity, and collaborative approaches to population health.
