TEACHING EXPERTISE

David’s teaching is strongly informed by his experience as a clinical psychologist and researcher. He leads teaching in psychopathology and mental health and contributes to postgraduate training in psychological interventions and clinical psychology. His teaching emphasises evidence-based practice, clinical reasoning, case formulation, and translating contemporary psychological science into effective clinical care.

 

David has extensive experience supervising research students from undergraduate through to doctoral level, as well as mentoring early-career researchers and postdoctoral fellows. His approach to supervision emphasises developing independence, methodological rigour, collaboration, and supporting emerging researchers to build sustainable research careers.
