TEACHING EXPERTISE
I value the opportunity to interact with learners, and I approach my responsibilities to this work with openness, honesty and integrity. Our current students are the generation of designers who need to advance beyond sustainability to engage with principles of regenerative and circular design principles as an imperative, as society can no longer justify inefficiencies in the energy consumption of under performing buildings. My approach to teaching is through the intersection of ‘logical thinking’, which validates and recognises a systems approach to architecture and a generative domain of design, alongside the traditional application of creative and practical thinking.
