BIO

My research applies genetic and genomic tools to questions in reproductive
biology, ecology and evolution, mostly in aquatic species. Most recently, my
work has explored the genomic and epigenetic basis of sexual plasticity, using
sex change in fishes as a model and applying state-of-the-art
transcriptome, methylome and comparative genomic analyses. My PhD research
investigated climatic and landscape processes shaping patterns of freshwater
biodiversity in Australia.
