BIO
I am an evolutionary ecologist, with a keen interest in how birds respond to global change processes. Currently, I am working on how global change processes can impact migration behaviour, and the flow-on effects this has on the risk of disease incursion (notably avian influenza) into Australia.
I have also worked extensively on how birds respond morphologically to rising temperatures, such as through increasing bill size and decreasing body size. I also study aspects of population dynamics, such as how breeding success is influenced by climate.
