RESEARCH INTERESTS
Dr Farwa Rizvi's research focuses on advancing cancer screening equity to improve access to cancer screening, early detection, and supportive care among culturally and linguistically diverse populations. Her program of research spans breast and colorectal cancer screening, primary care interventions, consumer and stakeholders' co-design, health services research, and palliative care integration in advanced cancer. Through partnerships with healthcare providers, community organisations, policymakers, and consumers, Dr Rizvi develops and evaluates culturally responsive, evidence-based strategies that inform practice, policy, and service delivery. Her work aims to improve equitable access to cancer screening, early diagnosis, and timely referral to treatment and supportive care services through primary care and community-based healthcare settings across Australia.
