TEACHING EXPERTISE
Marufa has extensive postgraduate teaching experience in health economics, public health, and quantitative research methods across Australia and Bangladesh. Since joining Deakin University, she has contributed to a range of postgraduate units as Unit Chair, lecturer, seminar facilitator, tutor, marker, and curriculum contributor.
Her teaching areas include health economics, economic evaluation, healthcare financing, biostatistics, health program evaluation, and resource allocation in healthcare. She is committed to creating an engaging and supportive learning environment that helps students develop critical thinking, analytical, and research skills relevant to contemporary public health and health policy challenges.
Marufa is also actively involved in higher degree by research (HDR) and Master's student supervision, mentoring emerging researchers and supporting students to develop high-quality research outputs. Her teaching philosophy emphasises evidence-based learning, practical application of methods, and fostering the next generation of health economists and public health researchers.
