BIO

Dr Naser Haque received his PhD in Materials Science from the Institute for Frontier Materials at Deakin University in 2021 and was awarded the prestigious Alfred Deakin Medal.

Dr Haque’s research focuses on transforming agricultural and textile waste into sustainable materials, including bioplastics, membranes, and advanced fibre-based products. His work explores nanocellulose and other bio-based materials produced using green solvents and energy-efficient processes. He also studies microplastic pollution and sustainable water treatment by developing bio-based materials capable of capturing environmental contaminants.

Dr Haque has published more than 70 research papers, many of them in leading journals across materials science, environmental science, chemistry, and engineering.
