BIO

Dr Brittany Swelam is a Lecturer in Health, Society, and Environment in the School of Health and Social Development. Her research focuses on the field of physical activity and health, with a particular interest in advocacy, politics and the application of political science in physical activity and health policy, the built environment (green space and physical activity; active transport), and climate and physical activity co-benefits/solutions. Brittany is a passionate physical activity and health advocate and currently serves as a member of the advocacy committee on the Asia-Pacific Society for Physical Activity (ASPA). She is also skilled in research communication having been employed as a Communications Officer for the Institute of Physical Activity and Nutrition (IPAN) at Deakin University and having served as a Commitee Member and Co-chair of the ASPA communications committee.
