Matthew is a dual trainee in neurology and geriatric medicine with an interest in neurodegenerative disorders of cognition and movement. He is the inaugural Dementia and Neurodegenerative Disease Fellow at the Royal Melbourne Hospital Dementia Centre.
Matthew completed neurology training at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne and University Hospital Geelong before undertaking geriatric medicine training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. He is an Affiliate Senior Lecturer at Deakin University School of Medicine and researches dementia diagnosis at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
A keen educator, Matthew teaches both medical students and junior doctors and is interested in further medical education opportunities.
Matthew’s clinical interests include neurodegenerative disease, stroke, general neurology, neuropalliative care and the intersection between frailty and neurological illness.
