MrsJustine Sakurai

Justine Sakurai has well over two decades of experience as a teacher in Victorian secondary schools. She teaches in initial teacher education, and in continuing teacher education in the DET Secondary Maths Secondary Science program for Deakin University. Justine is currently undertaking her PhD studies at another Melbourne University. She has led several major programs on numeracy improvement for institutions and schools in Victoria. Justine has worked with state curriculum and examination boards to investigate numeracy theory and practices. In a leadership capacity, she has contributed to curriculum development and writing, benchmarking, quality assurance, and assessment. She is the editor of the Maths Association of Victoria's secondary maths teacher journal, Vinculum.
