BIO

Mayumi is a Clinical Counsellor, Clinical Supervisor, and is Course Director of the postgraduate counselling programs at Deakin University. Her area of teaching specialisation is in relationship therapy, however she also has a special interest in research, ethics, and diversity.  Mayumi's clinical expertise is also in relationship therapy and individual adult counselling.  She has previously worked with people who are dying, and has supported the rehabilitation of those who have committed serious sexual and violent offences. Her current research interests are focused on the counselling profession in Australia. Mayumi is also passionate graduate employability.
