MrHung Du

Hung Du is a Research Engineer at the Applied Artificial Intelligence Institute (A2I2), Deakin University, where he works on developing AI systems in areas such as multi-agent systems, deep reinforcement learning, and decentralised intelligence. In parallel, he is pursuing a PhD in Artificial Intelligence. His research has resulted in 11 peer-reviewed publications in respected international venues, including IEEE, ACM, and the Journal of Big Data. One of these papers received the ACM SIGSOFT Distinguished Paper Award — a recognition granted to a select number of high-impact research contributions globally. His work has also been cited over 100 times, reflecting its influence within the international research community.

Even before completing his PhD, Hung Du collaborated with nationally significant organisations such as CSIRO and the Australian Department of Defence on applied AI projects that address both local and global challenges. He also secured a competitive research grant to support the development of an industry-applied AI system. These achievements demonstrate that Hung Du’s research is not only academically rigorous but also internationally recognised and practically impactful.
