BIO

Dr Jinzhu Wang is a spatial modeller specializing in food sustainability amid urbanization and climate change. His research leverages Remote Sensing (RS) big data and Deep Learning (DL) algorithms. Jinzhu has accurately mapped China’s urbanization since 1990, simulated future urban growth using DL models, and evaluated China's grain self-sufficiency under different dietary, trade, productivity, climate, and socioeconomic scenarios. Currently, he contributes to the development of the Land-Use Trade-Offs (LUTO) project, supporting Australia's agricultural sustainability and efforts to meet carbon neutrality targets.
