RESEARCH INTERESTS

Drawing on my diverse background in environmental science, integrated water resource management, and public health, my research focuses on co-designing practical solutions for 'wicked problems' that require collaborative and innovative approaches. My research interests include:

  • Systems thinking in public health: Applying systems thinking methodologies to understand and address the intricate causal relationships influencing public health outcomes.
  • Co-creation and participatory research: Engaging communities and stakeholders in the co-design of public health interventions, ensuring solutions are contextually relevant and effective.
  • Mental health and wellbeing: A key research interest is in improving mental health outcomes through systems thinking and co-design with people with lived experience.

Current research has focused on exploring person-centred, growth-oriented language and care as fundamental components of successful mental health reform, adapting group model building for mental healthcare, and employing participatory co-design approaches to develop effective interventions.
