DrXuan Nguyen

I am currently a Senior Lecturer in the Discipline of Economics at Deakin Business School. My research interests include applied economics, international trade, and industrial organization. I have published extensively in these research areas in Australian Business Deans' Council (ABDC) A*-ranked journals such as Energy Economics, International Journal of Industrial Organization, and Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization, as well as A-ranked journals such as Economics Letters, Economic Modelling, Economics of Transition and Institutional Change, Economic Record, Review of Development Economics, Review of Income and Wealth, Review of International Economics, and The World Economy.

Since 2025, I have been serving as an Associate Editor for Politická Ekonomie (Political Economy), a journal with over 70 years of history. Since 2023, I have also been serving as a Program Co-chair for the Vietnam Symposium on Global Economy in HCMC (Vietnam), an academic conference that attracts 30-40 speakers annally from many countries around the world. I am a fellow of the Ryoichi Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund, sponsored by the Tokyo Foundation.
