TEACHING EXPERTISE
Dr Anderson currently provides supervision to HDR and Honours students (four completed, two underway) within the School of Medicine with a goal of developing meaningful research training and diverse skill sets that will serve students for their future careers both in and outside traditional academic settings. They place an active focus on building on-the-ground research skills and hands-on support, and prides themselves on deep, actionable feedback. Kara also provides mentorship to early career peers and students as they develop their research skills and have supported a number of PhD candidates to submission.
Additionally, she provides support to the Public Health Medicine teaching teams to support learning activities in the Doctor of Medicine/Doctor of Surgery.
