BIO
Megan is an Associate Research Fellow in the School of Psychology. She recently completed her PhD which focussed on identifying the typologies of victims and perpetrators of relational aggression in adulthood. Currently, Megan is working on both the Mind-AF and CBD-EEG projects within the Deakin Lifespan Institute.
Megan's body of research work spans across multiple domains, including aggression, addiction, health psychology, implementation science and codesign. She has experience in applying the Theoretical Domains and Trauma-Informed Frameworks, behaviour change techniques, and codesign principles. As part of her PhD, she developed and validated two new psychological measures and had the opportunity to partake in multiple funded projects. These included Delphi studies, an implementation trial to determine the most useful strategies for prompting BZRA deprescribing in primary care, and a cross-disciplinary initiative between the schools of Psychology and Architecture to determine the needs of domestic violence survivors in social and affordable housing.
Megan is also experienced and passionate about teaching and received her AFHEA qualification in 2025. She has taught across a wide range of psychology undergraduate units from first to third year and strives to engage her students through supportive scaffolding and active learning.
