DrHoang Chinh Nguyen

Dr Hoang Chinh Nguyen is a research scientist specializing in organic waste valorisation, bioprocessing, green process development, process optimization, and sustainable bioproduct innovation. His research focuses on developing integrated biorefinery platforms and circular bioeconomy solutions that transform biomass and organic residues into high-value products and functional ingredients, including hydrogels, biomedical materials, sunscreens, bioplastics, biofertilizers, biofuels, omega-3 oils, collagen, bioactive polysaccharides, and phenolic compounds. By integrating fundamental science, engineering innovation, artificial intelligence, and industrial translation, Dr Nguyen develops sustainable technologies that bridge the gap between laboratory research and commercial implementation.

Dr Nguyen has successfully led and co-led multiple research and industry-funded projects supported by the Marine Bioproducts Cooperative Research Centre, Deakin University, and industry partners. Committed to addressing global sustainability challenges, he fosters strong collaborations between academia and industry to develop scalable and commercially viable technologies that promote resource recovery, waste minimization, and value creation from underutilized biomass. His research contributes to the commercialization of sustainable bioproducts and supports the global transition towards a circular and low-carbon bioeconomy.
