BIO
I am a legal academic and policy expert with over three decades of interdisciplinary experience in climate law and governance, renewable energy, sustainability, and international environmental law. I currently serve as a Senior Lecturer in Law at Deakin University and as Law Course Coordinator at the National Indigenous Knowledges, Education, and Research Innovation (NIKERI) Institute.
Prior to academia, I was engaged in policy development and legal advisory work with international organisations including the UNDP, World Bank, and AusAID. I served as Senior Technical Advisor on Renewable Energy Law to the UNDP and led a forest conservation and energy access project funded by the Philippine Tropical Forest Conservation Foundation.
Notably, I have attended and advised at multiple UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Conferences of the Parties or COPs (22 to 25) and was recognised with the 2018 South Australia Climate Leaders Award for my work in climate advocacy and legal education.
