BIO
Emma Todd is a PhD Candidate at the Food and Mood centre. Her project centres around predicting depression risk using lifestyle and gut microbiome data using machine learning techniques.
Emma studied a Bachelor of Science, majoring in microbiology and genetics at the University of Sydney, followed by a Bachelor of Advanced Studies (Hons) where she researched the impact of diet on the mouse microbiome.
Her research interests include the gut-brain axis, antibiotic stewardship, and personalised medicine. She is passionate about teaching and science communication.
