BIO
I am an experienced mathematics and statistics educator with a strong background in teaching, research, and curriculum development at the university level who completed a PhD degree (applied mathematics) in 2016 from the University of Newcastle. Currently, I am investigating the application of large language models (LLMs) in our real-life scenarios.
Besides, I have taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses at Deakin University, RMIT University, and the University of Newcastle, incorporating innovative teaching methods and technology-enhanced learning. My research focuses on mathematical modelling, data analytics, and machine learning, with publications in high-impact journals and industry collaborations. I am also actively involved in course coordination, work-integrated learning (WIL) supervision, and HDR student mentorship. Committed to student-centred learning and academic excellence, I bring a dedicated and research-informed approach to teaching and professional engagement.
