BIO
Associate Professor Linda Corrin is an educator, researcher, and leader in the
field of educational technology. She has over 20 years' experience working in
higher education and has taught in education, business, and IT.
Linda holds bachelor degrees in IT and Law (University of Wollongong), a
Postgraduate Certificate of Learning and Teaching in Higher Education
(University of Roehampton), and a PhD in Education (University of Wollongong).
Throughout her career, Linda has been passionate about exploring the
intersection between education and technology, as well as finding new and
innovative ways to develop educators' capacity to improve their students'
learning experiences online and in the classroom.
Her research interests include academic development, learning analytics,
feedback, and learning design. Currently, she is working on several research
projects exploring how learning analytics can be used to provide meaningful
and timely feedback to educators and students, as well as the ethical aspects
of learning analytics implementation and use.
She is the coordinator of the Victorian/Tasmanian Learning Analytics Network
and a co-coordinator of the ASCILITE Learning Analytics Special Interest
Group. She has won several awards for her learning analytics research and co-
edited the book "Learning Analytics in the Classroom: Translating learning
analytics research for teachers" in 2019. In 2022 she was made a Community
Fellow of ASCILITE.
Linda has also been a lead editor of the Australasian Journal of Educational
Technology, a Q1 journal, since 2020.
