BIO

I am a PhD candidate and my research explores cultural and ethnic influences on early‑life nutrition and health among children born to  Indian immigrant mothers in Australia.  I specialise in early‑life nutrition, qualitative and quantitative research methods, and culturally responsive public health. I have extensive experience conducting mixed‑methods research using NVivo, SPSS, Stata and Qualtrics, with a strong focus on migrant health, early life nutrition behaviours and childhood obesity prevention.

I have successfully led the recruitment of large national sample of Indian immigrant mothers across Australia for my PhD, and also engaged policy leads and organisational stakeholders through effective communication, ethics preparation and drafting of organisational consent materials. My experience includes coordinating multi‑stage recruitment processes, survey design and dissemination, managing research data (quantitative and qualitative data), and conducting semi‑structured interviews.

I am a registered Associate Nutritionist and have nine years of prior professional experience in systems development within Medicare, that has provided me with unique ability to work across data, systems and health domains.I am open to new research and academic opportunities in nutrition and dietetics, public health and early‑life interventions.
