DrChandima Wickramatunga

Chandima Wickramatunga joined the Department of Information Systems and Business Analytics as a Teaching Fellow at Deakin Business School in July 2025. Prior to this appointment, he served as a sessional academic at Deakin University since 2022. Chandima obtained his PhD in Information Systems from Swinburne University of Technology (Hawthorn Campus), Australia, where his research examined how enterprise systems are implemented in small firms, with a particular focus on owner-led implementations and the factors that influence their success or failure. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Logistics and Operations Management from the University of Plymouth, UK, awarded in 2018, where he achieved the highest academic standing in his graduating class. His broader research interests include enterprise systems, small firms, toxic behavior, eSports, and the practical application of Artificial Intelligence with a specific focus on Local Large Language Models (LLMs) and Agentic AI frameworks. Chandima has presented his work at leading conferences, including the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) and the Pacific Asia Conference on Information Systems (PACIS).
