MissLaura Medina Rivera

Research fellow with over 8 years experience in lecturing, and project management. My areas of expertise span across the fields of science, including chemistry and biology, as well as environmental science. Throughout my career, I have developed three research projects, with my latest work being part of my ongoing PhD course at Deakin University.

In my current doctoral research, I am exploring the application of Blue-Green Infrastructure (BGI) as a framework for enhancing climate change resilience and promoting sustainable development in a developing country, such as Colombia. By leveraging my interdisciplinary knowledge and expertise, I aim to contribute to the growing body of research on innovative, nature-based solutions to address the pressing challenges posed by climate change.

My passion for bridging the gap between scientific knowledge and practical, real-world applications drives my work. I am committed to sharing my insights and findings with policymakers, practitioners, and the broader academic community, in the pursuit of fostering more sustainable and resilient communities.
