MissLysha Lee

Lysha Lee is a graduate researcher in Applied Health Services in Aging and Aged Care, supported by a joint scholarship from Deakin University and the National Ageing Research Institute (NARI). She holds an Honours degree in Psychology and applies a multidisciplinary lens to her work, with research interests spanning aged care, intergenerational practice, social connectedness, and mental health across the lifespan. Through her research and leadership, Lysha is committed to advancing community-oriented solutions that foster connection, resilience, and wellbeing at all stages of life.

Her doctoral research adopts a realist approach to examine how intergenerational programs can enhance the psychosocial health of older adults and improve staff experiences in residential aged care. Working closely with industry partners, Lysha aims to develop strategies that deliver practical solutions at both organisational and individual levels.

She is skilled in quantitative and qualitative research methods, as well as realist synthesis and evaluation, and values interdisciplinary collaboration between academia, industry, and consumers. Lysha strives to conduct research that addresses real-world challenges identified by end-users, ensuring outcomes that are both evidence-based and actionable.

Beyond her PhD, Lysha contributes to projects in health services and intergenerational practice research. She also serves as the Secretary to the Board of the Australian Institute for Intergenerational Practice.
