MsMelinda Herfet

Melinda is a Cotutelle PhD student at Deakin University and the University of Bayreuth, Germany.

Melinda is dedicated to studying the relationship between exercise and cognition, focusing on the interaction between body movements, senses, and thinking processes. Her research spans two key areas: investigating the interplay of training, cognition, and perception in sports to enhance athletes' performance and well-being, and exploring the impact of active travel on cognitive functions across the lifespan to shed light on how staying physically active can benefit mental abilities. Through these efforts, she aims to promote a healthier and more intellectually engaged society.
