BIO
I’m a materials researcher specializing in metal additive manufacturing (AM), with a strong background in metallurgy, materials processing, and structure-property relationships. My research focuses on leveraging advanced AM technologies to transform metallic materials into near-net-shape, geometrically complex components with tailored microstructure and mechanical properties.
I’m currently pursuing my PhD at Deakin University, School of Engineering, where my research centers on developing and optimizing thermal conditions through electron-beam processing strategies for the AM of refractory tungsten. Through innovative electron-beam processing strategies and tailored thermal management, I aim to overcome the intrinsic processing challenges associated with tungsten and enable reliable, defect-free fabrication for advanced engineering and energy applications.
