BIO
Sarah Harding is an Industry Professional Lecturer in Play Therapy at Deakin University. She is a PACFA registered Clinical Counsellor Supervisor and an APPTA registered Play Therapist Supervisor, with tertiary qualifications in early childhood education, psychology, and holds a Master of Play Therapy.
Working and playing on Kaurna Land, Sarah specialises in child-centred, relationship-focused play therapy, supporting children and families to explore emotions, build resilience, and strengthen relational connection. Her professional experience spans private practice, government services, and academia.
Sarah provides play therapy supervision using a reflective, strengths-based approach informed by the Rise Up model of supervision and the Deakin Masterclass in Play Therapy Supervision. She supports practitioners to grow their clinical confidence, deepen therapeutic attunement, and integrate developmentally sensitive, culturally aware practice.
She is committed to inclusive and culturally reflective practice, creating spaces where supervisees, children and families feel welcomed, respected, and understood.
