My research interest is on acute/chronic pain management, specifically targeting the reduction of pain intensity and the improvement of functional outcomes for patients. I am particularly interested in nonpharmacological interventions, such as psychological/behavioral therapies, peer support, biofeedback, manual therapy, yoga, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and community integration. I also see the need for more evidence, especially from randomized controlled trials, on combined pain interventions for pain care needs, including those with comorbid mental health conditions like PTSD and depression.
