RESEARCH INTERESTS

My research focuses on the intersection of cardiovascular disease and multimorbidity, particularly coronary heart disease (CHD) and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). I use linked administrative and primary care data to examine healthcare utilisation, care pathways, and patient outcomes in real-world settings. A key area of interest is the role of primary care, especially general practice follow-up, in improving secondary prevention and reducing hospitalisation and mortality.

I also specialise in health economics and economic evaluation, including cost-of-illness studies and cost-effectiveness modelling, to assess the value of healthcare interventions and inform resource allocation. My work aims to generate policy-relevant evidence to optimise care delivery, improve patient outcomes, and enhance the efficiency of health systems.
