BIO
A public health academic for over 15 years, leading public health courses and large teaching teams, as well as cross-sector public health research and global collaboration. I am passionate about the health of communities and providing environments that allow individuals to thrive. I’m enthusiastic and determined, self-motivated, and enjoy a challenge.
My teaching is informed by constructivist and pragmatic principles, enabling students to connect theory with practice and develop as future public health professionals. I embed research-led teaching and industry engagement to enhance student outcomes and employability, while contributing to curriculum leadership and innovation.
As Course Director of the Bachelor of Public Health and Health Promotion and a leader in the national Health Promoting Universities Network, I actively bridge the gap between evidence, curriculum, and practice. My contributions extend internationally through representation in the global Health Promoting Campuses Network and co-development of the 2025 Limerick Framework for Action.
