BIO

Scott is a historian of late modern Ireland and the Irish settler diaspora in Australia, with teaching expertise across a range of modules at Deakin University. 

 

Scott is currently working on his first book, drawn from his doctoral thesis, which examines the Catholic elite and the construction of Irishness in Victoria and New South Wales, c. 1875–1923.
