BIO
Hamraz Ahmad is a doctoral candidate in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia. His research is primarily focused on the anthropology of state spatiality and development in the global south. His graduate research project, being a part of the Alfred Deakin Institute of Citizenship and Globalization's research stream 'Governance, Development, and Peace', is an ethnographic exploration of the performance of developmental governance through procedural interactions between ethnic businesses and state authorities in Islamabad, Pakistan.
