MissElham Yaghoobi

I am a PhD candidate at the Institute for Physical Activity and Nutrition, with a focus on nutritional strategies to enhance recovery from exercise and support performance. My work explores the effects of long chain n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids on body composition and recovery from exercise-induced muscle damage in healthy adults. These findings have deepened my interest in the underlying physiological mechanisms and in how targeted nutritional interventions might improve recovery outcomes in both healthy and clinical populations.

Alongside my PhD, I work as an Associate Teaching Fellow at Deakin University, supporting teaching and student learning activities. A key highlight of my work to date has been publishing the first part of my PhD research and presenting at the International Sports + Exercise Nutrition Conference in Manchester in 2025.
