BIO
Dr Lucille Kerr is a lecturer and researcher within the School of Nursing and Midwifery. She holds a PhD in Public Health, and is a Specialist Cancer Nurse. Lucy is an international leader in health and cancer care for trans and gender diverse people, having influenced national policy in this area. Dr Kerr's previous research has involved a high level of community engagement, with a strong element of converting research findings to practical and policy recommendations. She has produced a variety of publications, including peer-reviewed journal articles, a monograph, book chapters, community magazine pieces and involvement with major news outlets.
Dr Kerr's current projects focus on people experiencing homelessness/housing insecurity/socioeconomic disadvantage and cancer care, trans and gender diverse health and well-being, and LGBTQI+ cancer support.
