RESEARCH INTERESTS

Zaib's research interests encompass a broad spectrum of environmental and zoological sciences, with a keen focus on tackling the challenges posed by environmental pollution and its effects on biodiversity. He is particularly passionate about marine and coastal conservation, studying the detrimental impacts of plastic pollution, including microplastics, on ecosystems. His work in molecular wildlife forensic genetics contributes to advancing conservation methodologies through cutting-edge genetic analysis. Zaib also delves into wildlife ecology and management, with significant research on the Asiatic Black Bear, aimed at developing effective conservation strategies. His expertise includes environmental entomology, wildlife parasitology, and molecular biology applications in mammalogy. Zaib's research is driven by a dedication to preserving biodiversity and fostering sustainable environmental practices.
