TEACHING EXPERTISE

Dr Omosalewa Odebiri has extensive undergraduate and postgraduate teaching experience in environmental science, ecology, geography, remote sensing, GIS, climate change, geomorphology, land degradation, and natural resource management. He has taught, tutored, mentored, and demonstrated across multiple modules at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, including lectures, tutorials, practical sessions, assessment design, and student supervision. His teaching integrates environmental theory with applied skills in field ecology, spatial analysis, remote sensing, and quantitative environmental modelling. He is particularly interested in equipping students with the conceptual knowledge and technical skills needed to address real-world challenges in climate-change mitigation, ecosystem restoration, carbon monitoring, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable environmental management.
