Developed a new assessment for MIS775 – Decision Modelling for Business Analytics, titled “Bridging Academia and Industry: Developing Future-Ready Analytical Problem-Solvers through Industry-Based Network Optimisation Projects.” The assessment integrates real-world industry challenges into network optimisation projects to enhance students’ analytical problem-solving skills and bridge the gap between academic learning and industry practice. This innovative teaching practice will be presented as a live demonstration at the Deakin University Teaching and Learning Conference 2026.

Initiated and organised the first industry site visit for MIS713 students to Amazon’s technologically advanced MEL5 Fulfilment Centre, bridging academic theory with industry practice. Enhanced experiential learning, student engagement, and understanding of digital technologies, automation, and data-driven supply chains. Delivered the initiative without additional faculty costs while fostering potential long-term industry partnerships and an annual learning opportunity. This contribution demonstrates my commitment to academic excellence, innovative teaching, industry engagement, and preparing graduates for the evolving digital supply chain profession.
