TEACHING EXPERTISE
I am Unit Chair for the Deakin Architecture Masterclass Units SRD755 & SRD766 – this MArch capstone design project spans two trimesters and sequential units. It is taught via themed “Ateliers”, led by individual staff members and/or tutor teams, who set an overarching agenda/theme for the group, and support students via a structured curricula and briefs. Deakin is the only Victorian MArch course with a year-long (two-trimester) capstone project, which affords Deakin MArch graduates the opportunity to compete on a global stage with in-depth projects produced over a timeframe similar to that in many international schools.
