BIO

As a statistical consultant I am fortunate to be exposed to a vast array of different projects, datasets and statistical challenges on a daily basis.

I completed my Masters in Mathematical Statistics at the University of Pretoria in 2014 focussing on multivariate statistics, Bayesian statistics and statistical coding combined with a research dissertation on conjoint analysis which focussed on modelling consumers preference.

Spending several years as a statistical analyst in the banking, property valuation and insurance industry I gained a lot of experience working on different projects from client specific consultation projects to automating and building recurring products.

I then joined the Statistical Department at the University of Pretoria as a senior statistical research consultant where I actively worked on research projects in medical research, consumer science, informatics and the natural science fields. During this time, I completed my PhD in Mathematical Statistics covering some interesting aspects of multivariate analysis and information theory and enjoyed the challenges and opportunities it brought.

Now I am looking forward to continuing with my research here at Deakin and to broaden my biostatistical knowledge.
