TEACHING EXPERTISE

Riley has developed a strong and diverse teaching portfolio throughout his postgraduate studies. His teaching experience spans a range of delivery modes and student cohorts, including:

  • Private tutoring under Deakin's Disability Resource Centre (DRC), supporting students in Embedded Systems, Low-Level Microcontroller Programming, and Engineering Design.

  • Demonstrating in both seminar-based and practical laboratory sessions for Deakin's School of Engineering, covering Analogue and Digital Systems — including Binary Arithmetic, DC and AC circuit theory, Logic Circuits, and simulation software.

  • Department-wide outreach through Deakin events such as Open Day at both Waurn Ponds and Burwood campuses, engaging prospective students and the broader community.

To his own surprise, Riley has found genuine enjoyment in teaching. He approaches it with pride and optimism, working to develop learning spaces that are both highly proficient and genuinely supportive.
