RESEARCH INTERESTS
Simon is interested in questions around the crisis of democracy - the rise of the far right and populism, the nature of protest and citizen mobilisation and he impact of digital communications on the political sphere broadly. He's also interested in developments in contemporary polical thought, especially discourse analysis, Lacanian philosophy and post-structuralism, and the legacy of Marx, Nietzsche and Freud.
