RESEARCH INTERESTS
Tay Zar's main research interests include the areas of democratisation, federalism, social conflict, violent extremism, and identity politics focusing on Myanmar. His current research projects are the communal conflict in Rakhine, Myanmar and the rights of the Rohingya people, and the local governance amidst civil war in Myanmar.
